Just a few weeks ago NetJets announced it was pausing jet card sales on its light jets. It has now extended this pause to all sales of jet cards across the whole fleet.
Specifically, NetJets announced “all requests for the NetJets Card Program will be placed on a waitlist,” and says this temporary sales pause is due to “unprecedented flight demand.”
NetJets adds that the new customers who join the waitlist will have their hourly rates locked in at todays rates, even “if the pause on cards extends into 2022.”
They are clearly working hard to source new aircraft, but even as the largest private aviation company in the world, which brings lots of leverage, they say they have “exhausted the production capacity of some OEM partners.”
“We are confident that this temporary pause on the sale of all cards will allow us to prioritize the exceptional experiences we promise to deliver on all flights,” said Patrick Gallagher, NetJets President, Sales, Marketing and Service.
