The Directional Aviation company Skyjet has recently launched a new Explorer Membership program. This provides fixed hourly rates for on-demand jet charter and has a lot of jet card type features. One major difference is that it’s a “pay-as-you-fly” program, so there’s no need for large up-front deposits.
Skyjet’s traditional offerings, as a charter broker, allow clients to book and pay for private jet travel on an as-needed basis. The traditional hourly charter prices vary depending on market conditions of supply and demand. This new product locks in the hourly rates and provides certainty over the pricing.
The company says that Skyjet Explorer is designed as a travel solution for frequent charter fliers looking to upgrade to a more flexible product with fixed pricing and guaranteed availability 365 days a year, as well as first-class fliers entering the private aviation world.
Available for an annual fee of $9,500, a Skyjet Explorer membership features fixed rates and a transparent pricing model locked in from the date of sign-up. Explorers are able to choose between four jet size categories for each trip with as little as ten hours’ notice. Members have access to a network of over 1,000 Skyjet approved aircraft, provided through an extensive network of Skyjet approved operators.
Additionally, Explorer members are able to book, manage, and make payment for flights instantly with the new iOS and Android enabled Skyjet Explorer App. Skyjet has refined its mobile app to meet the needs and preferences of its clients. The updated App offers instant trip bookings via credit card, trip and account management capabilities, flight status and location-based push notifications, and a 24/7/365 live chat feature allowing for immediate assistance and insight as needed, the Skyjet Explorer app further reinforces the flexibility and convenience of the Skyjet product.
“With the launch of Skyjet Explorer, we are proud to offer an added layer of flexibility and savings, supported by one of the most impressive and innovative mobile booking tools in the industry,” said Andrew Collins, president and CEO of Skyjet.
Current pricing in the Continental US for the four jet sizes is:
Light | Mid | Super-Mid | Heavy |
$4,975 | $6,719 | $8,871 | $11,167 |
These rates apply to every flight within the Continental U.S. and those that either originate or terminate within a 200 nautical mile radius of the Continental U.S. The company also has fixed rates for flights to all origins and destinations in Bermuda, Mexico and the Caribbean that lie outside 200 nautical miles from the U.S. border. Flights outside the 200 mile radius must be confirmed at least 72 hours in advance on standard travel days.
